Tuesdays to Remember

One of our favorite family trips ever!  In June of 2006 we took Tyler back to his mission area to show us around.  Tyler served in the Mexico Tijuana Mission from 2004 to 2006...

Here we are in the Mission Office in Tijuana.  Tyler is noticing that the tie the Elder is wearing used to be his!

After a wonderful lunch with President and Sister Carmack... they gave us directions how to get to Ensenada.  We loved how Sister Carmack explained it... once you get to the highway,  just "gun it" or you'll get run over!  Oh how right she was... the traffic in Tijuana nearly did me in!
We loved the beautiful drive to Ensenada, we settled in to our hotel and enjoyed swimming.  We rented some jet ski's and had a blast!

The most amazing part of the trip was having Tyler take us around to where he served in Ensenada!
We went to the church where he found the Bishop and some others he worked with playing soccer with the youth.  It was so fun to see them so surprised to see Tyler.

The very best was when he took us to the home of a wonderful family.  Such humble circumstances... the kindest people.  Two families with children living in one room, and wonderfully happy. When we left they said..."our home is your home."  This was an experience we will never forget!

Tyler then took us to his favorite taco stand.  While we were ordering, I noticed chickens running around our feet.  Tyler explained "If the chickens are here, it means it is really good!"  Oh my...
Then we were treated to his favorite pastry shop...mmhmmm!

Here are some of the places Tyler lived...

Here is another family we visited... they were so thrilled to see Tyler!

What an amazing trip this was!  We are so grateful to have been able to see the places and meet so many people Tyler knew while he was serving his mission.  He was an amazing missionary and loves the people of Mexico.  Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with these people was such a blessing in his life!
Here are a few last pictures of our adventures.  We had fun at the "Bufadora" or the blow hole.
