Grandkid's Update!

ALL of our Grandkids are far away... :( Thank goodness for Skype, Facebook, Instragram
and the phone!  We really miss them all...

Tyler, Kelly, Kalvin and Rhett are loving it in Colorado!  We love getting picture updates of all their outdoor adventures.  We are so glad they are only 4 hours away...

 Sweet Brothers!

Kalvy wearing Tyler's old "Exit 282" t-shirt!  Oh the memories!!

Tyler and Kelly on a RARE night out alone...

Brad, Cami and Asa are on an Alaska Adventure... and loving it!!

Cami wrote...
"So far, #asababydude has slept in a tent, slept in a cabin, seen an eagle, seen a loon, worn carhartts, gone boating, thrown rocks, sang camp songs, bathed once, and gotten way dirty. I'd say he's going to have a pretty great summer."
They started out in this tent... but it was pretty hard with Asa and they struggled keeping him warm enough... so they are in the loft of a small cabin now :) helps me worry a little less... :)

This picture just kills me...

Such an adventure they are having! They will be heading straight to Missouri at the
end of July to start Graduate School... oh how we miss having them close by!
Ben, Melissa and Everly are working hard in Charlotte, North Carolina! (But we can't wait
for them to come home!)
Everly is growing so much!  She is starting to crawl too...

She loves keeping Mommy busy and playing with Dad...

Sure love these guys! Can't wait until we can all be together again... Christmas, I hope!

Wonderful Weekend Part 3

I am finally posting about the rest of our busy weekend
several weeks ago!
Of course, the most exciting part was Ben, Melissa and Everly's sealing
in the Mt. Timponogos Temple...
When we got home from the Temple... Noah called and asked if there was a chance Jennie could take a "few" pics of his Prom group, because their photographer fell through.  We made some phone calls for a location and Jennie graciously agreed!  We had a ball with this great group of kids in the rain!
Thanks Jennie for making this so fun and memorable!
Later we sent the "Daughter's in Law" out to a movie and the Dad's tended kids!
While the Dad's were doing this...
The kid's were doing this... :)
Jumping from the entertainment center on to the love sack... and loving every minute!
Asa even learned how to say "frog" ;)
Then later that week Ethan's band "Mainstream" was invited to play
at the High School Battle of the Bands!
Pretty big honor... since they are all in Jr. High!  They are really good...
they write all their own songs
I even met a mom who brought her daughter and friend from Salt Lake to
see them play... they even have "Groupies!"

What an eventful week or two.
We are so grateful for our family!

Graduate!

We were so happy and proud for Brad and Cami when
Brad graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
They held the ceremonies in the Provo Airport hangar... it was wonderful!
They have worked so hard together to meet this goal... they are quite the team!

Meeting with one of his favorite professor's!
 So proud of you Brad!!
The next week they told us about a wonderful opportunity that
had just been offered them... They are headed to ALASKA!
Cami worked there the summer before they got married.
Cami will be one of the director's of the Girl Scout camps there...
and Brad will be the camp chef and head of transportation!
Our little Asa will be their assistant!  They will live in a tent... yes a tent with
our 2 year old grandson...and they will have the time of their lives!
We love the adventurous spirits these two have!

Right after Alaska... they are heading to Missouri for Graduate School
at Missouri State University.  They have worked hard for these opportunities and
we are so thrilled for them... but we will miss having them close more than they will ever know.
Be safe on those adventures... we love you!!

A Star is Born

What an amazing Saturday we had.  Noah has been talking about the
Jimmy Awards for a year or more.  He missed them last year (Ben and Mel
were married that day!) so he was determined to get there this year.
Then he was nominated for "Best Supporting Actor" for his role
in "Shrek the Musical" where he played Lord Farquad! His dear friend were nominated
as well... Sweet Gabby for Best Actress as Fiona, and Thayne for Best Actor for Shrek!
They all did wonderful!!
We weren't sure we were invited, but decided to get tickets anyway.
We are SOOO glad we were there!

The Utah High School Musical Theater Awards were held at Utah State University and were put on by Michael Ballam and his daughter Vanessa.  Noah spent the day in workshops, worked one on one with Michal Ballam, and rehearsed a number with the other 9 finalists from all over the State.  It was a humbling experience and he loved every minute!  It was so much fun to see a number or two reprised from the show they put on last November!
Noah had fun performing a medley with all those nominated in his category...

He was so impressed with all the talent!
Gabby and Thayne performed in medley's as well! They were amazing! So proud of them all!

It was amazing when they announced Noah as the winner of Best Supporting Actor! We were so excited for him!  He was so humbled and grateful! I don't think he realized we were there when I received a text (before we saw him)... "Mom, I won!"
We are so grateful we were there! What a night!

He earned a $1000 scholarship, too!
Such sweet friends...

Sorry the video is so bad...
I was shaking so hard and nearly dropped the camera!...
